NOTE: This is a part-time, non-benefited position. Hours may vary and will not exceed 29 hours per week or 1000 hours per fiscal year. This position will require approximately 16 hours of work per week and must be available to work weekends and holidays.

This drives our innovation, motivation and connects us even closer to our community.The Part-time Marina Attendant in the Public Works Department will provide customer service and technical assistance to boaters and the public who use the City's Marina and Turning-Basin. This position reports directly to, and works closely with, the Airport and Marina Manager.
Responsibilities include handling daily maintenance activities, and overseeing safety, security, fueling, and basic operations at the Petaluma Marina and Turning-Basin.
Hours of work will be part time, expected to be 4 hours per day, 3-4 days per week.
Planning, prioritizing, and assisting in maintenance work.
Janitorial services at the Marina.
Answer questions and provide information to the public on Marina/Turning-Basin activities and services.
Collect fees.
Recent responsible experience in the operation of a pleasure craft marina or equivalent facility and duties.
Knowledge of proper VHF radio operating procedures, marine fueling procedures, boating safety, CPR, boat handling, and boat maintenance; be aware of the location of all emergency shut-offs, emergency first aid equipment, and pertinent emergency phone numbers.
Equivalent to graduation from high school.
