Your role as a Lifeguard
As a Seasonal Lifeguard with the City of Pharr, you will engage in responsible protective service work, ensuring the safe and enjoyable use of our aquatic center for all patrons. Your day will begin and end with opening and closing duties, setting the stage for a pristine swimming environment. You'll be trained to perform water rescues and provide CPR or first aid treatment when needed, effectively supporting those in distress. Ensuring cleanliness and sanitation is paramount, as you'll maintain the swimming pool and surrounding areas while tactfully enforcing safety rules. Additionally, you will inspect facilities for hazards and promptly report any broken equipment to your supervisor.
