Make a difference as a Traffic Safety Technician

As a Full-Time Traffic Safety Technician at the City of Pharr, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and enhancing the safety of our roadways. Your responsibilities will include troubleshooting malfunctions in traffic signals, conducting systematic inspections of traffic control devices, and ensuring they operate optimally. You will be hands-on in repairing, cleaning, and replacing traffic control signs, as well as striping pavement markings for clear communication to drivers.

Additionally, you will perform minor repairs and maintenance on electronic traffic signal devices, such as replacing bulbs and lubricating components, while also setting points and timing for control boxes. In assisting with the installation of traffic signal devices and performing minor electrical work, you will contribute directly to the safety and efficiency of our traffic management system. Other duties may be assigned to ensure the highest standards of traffic safety are upheld.
