About This Position

Data Integrity Technicians are responsible for inputting data into local, state, and national law enforcement databases. This position also maintains the accuracy and integrity of data in the Records Management System while handling a high volume of work. Employees work closely with department sworn personnel, tow company employees, and other law enforcement entities. Other responsibilities include responding to teletypes within strict timelines and answering calls from citizens. The Data Integrity Technician must be able to multi-task, work under tight deadlines, and provide a high level of customer service.
Additional responsibilities include the entering of privately impounded vehicles, vehicle repossessions as well as calls from the public regarding impounded vehicles. Employees must be able to multitask and work under tight deadlines all while providing a high level of customer service. The Phoenix Police Department has multiple vacancies.
The Data Integrity Detail is a 24/7 operation. Weekend and holiday work is required, and schedules are assigned based on seniority.
IDEAL CANDIDATE
Pay Range: $23.74 to $33.41 per hour.
Hiring Range: $23.74 to $30.31 per hour.

IDEAL CANDIDATE
- Knowledge of, or the ability to learn and apply local, federal, and state laws and regulations in the administration of job duties.
- Able to perform data entry work, which requires complete accuracy and strict attention to detail.
- Able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
- Able to type a minimum of 30 words per minute.
Pay Range: $23.74 to $33.41 per hour.
Hiring Range: $23.74 to $30.31 per hour.

Minimum Qualifications
- Two years of general secretarial or skilled typing experience, including a thorough knowledge of proper spelling.
- Other combinations of experience and education that meet the minimum requirements may be substituted.

- All finalists for positions are subject to a criminal background check applicable to the department or position.
- Positions in the Police Department must meet the background standards that are appropriate to non-sworn positions. The general factors for disqualification are listed here .
- Some positions require the use of personal or City vehicles on City business. Individuals must be physically capable of operating the vehicles safely, possess a valid driver's license and have an acceptable driving record. Use of a personal vehicle for City business will be prohibited if the employee is not authorized to drive a City vehicle or if the employee does not have personal insurance coverage.

The minimum qualifications listed above, plus:
- Must type a minimum of 30 words per minute.
- Must be able to obtain a level "A "Arizona Department of Public Safety Criminal Justice Information System Terminal Operator Certification within 90 days of hire. Experience with:
- Working with complex automated records management systems.
- A call center environment.
- Processing, maintaining, and auditing confidential documentation.
- With customer service.
- With Microsoft Office and SharePoint.
- Working with law enforcement databases (CAD, ACIC/NCIC, III, CCH). Experience working with complex automated records management systems.
- Working in law enforcement, the criminal justice field or similar environment.
