What are the responsibilities and job description for the SEASONAL SWIMMING POOL LIFEGUARD MANAGER position at City of Pierre?
The City of Pierre seeks a passionate individual to join our team in making Pierre one of the best places to live, work, and visit. This position will be a seasonal full time position and reports to the Recreation Superintendent. Must be able to work days/evenings/weekends/holidays. Duties include:
- Manage and train lifeguard staff
- Open and close facility
- Be able to learn the Digiquatics program to schedule lifeguards and complete reports
- Supervise and assist with swimming lessons
- Monitor weather and closures
- Provide accident reports when necessary
- Manage discipline of patrons and enforce pool policies and rules.
- Record keeping
Qualifications
Must have a current American Red Cross Lifeguard Training Certification, which does not expire prior Sept 1, 2025.
