What are the responsibilities and job description for the Animal Control Officer position at City of Pinebluff?
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: The Animal Control Officer is responsible for enforcing city animal control codes, investigating complaints, and making routine patrols and inspections to determine compliance with city ordinances. The Animal Control Officer captures and impounds loose animals and issues violation notices, and follows up as appropriate. The Animal Control Officer also testifies in court regarding complaints and results of investigations, euthanizes and disposes of sick, injured, or non-adoptable animals, and feeds and cares for animals in the shelter.
ACCEPTABLE EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING: High school diploma or GED and 7-11 months of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must obtain L I certification within the first year of employment. CLOSING DATE: 4/23/25
