Parking Enforcement Officer (Part-Time)
Job Summary:

">This part-time position patrols assigned areas, enforces parking regulations by issuing citations, checks parking meters for proper operations, and collects fees. Knowledge of City parking rules and regulations is required, as well as the ability to courteously and tactfully deal with the public. Administrative tasks support assigned areas of responsibility. Some weekends and evenings may be required.
">Essential Job Functions:

This position patrols assigned areas, enforces parking regulations by issuing citations, checks parking meters for proper operations, and collects fees. ">Requirements:
">Use tact, initiative, prudence, and independent judgment within general policy, procedural, and legal guidelines. Establish, maintain, and foster positive and harmonious working relationships with those contacted in the course of work. Primary functions may require maintaining physical condition necessary for sufficient mobility to work in an office setting and ability to travel by foot and/or operate a vehicle to travel to various outdoor locations.
">Supplemental Information:
">Must possess a High School diploma or G.E.D. and at least one year of experience involving frequent public contact and customer service. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. Possession of, or ability to obtain, a valid California Driver's License by time of appointment.
