The AV Event Technician is the primary staff member responsible for the operation of the Cinema in the Park series and for audio support of concerts produced by the Office of Special Events. This position is responsible for setting up, testing, and operating audio equipment and troubleshooting / adapting setups on site to ensure proper functionality and sound levels. In addition, this position supports full-time Office of Special Events staff with other event-related operational tasks as assigned.

- Acts as primary staff for Cinema in the Park series.
- Sets up, tests, operates, troubleshoots and deconstructs audio-visual equipment for assigned events and concerts.
- Drives department box truck and or cargo vans as needed.
- Assists with transporting audio equipment and operational supplies for special events.
- Assists in setting up event sites in addition to audio, as needed.
- Lifts and assembles heavy items such as speakers, podiums, tents, etc.
- Supports Office of Special Events staff with other event-related operational tasks as assigned.
- Performs other related tasks and duties as assigned or required.
