Union: This position is included in the Pittsburgh Joint Collective Bargaining Committee and will be filled in accordance with the provisions of the Collective Bargaining Agreement.

In order to be eligible to bid for this position applicants must:
- Be currently employed by the City of Pittsburgh in a position covered by the Agreement between the City of Pittsburgh and the Pittsburgh Joint Collective Bargaining Committee and remain employed in a position covered by the Agreement.
NOTE:
- This bid will serve as the required bid under Section 8 (E)(4) of the agreement between the City of Pittsburgh and the Pittsburgh Joint Collective Bargaining Committee.
- This bid will also cover employees seeking a lateral transfer to a Laborer position in another department, and employees seeking a promotion or demotion to a Laborer position within their own department or to another department.
Transfer shall be made under the terms and conditions of the Agreement between the City of Pittsburgh and the Pittsburgh Joint Collective Bargaining Committee and in accordance with the Civil Service Statutes and Rules.

This notice shall be posted for the ten day period noted above and again in September 2025 and March 2026. When a vacancy occurs in a specific department, the list of eligible bidders will be forwarded to the department. Transfers, promotions and/or demotions to Laborer vacancies shall be filled from the results of this bid.
