Qualifying Requirements:

- WORK EXPERIENCE: The ideal applicant will have three (3) years of full-time experience related to Labor & Employment matters. (Less than full-time experience will be calculated on a pro-rated basis.)
- EDUCATION/TRAINING: The application must clearly show a minimum of an Associate's Degree (Bachelor's Degree preferred) in Paralegal studies or a related field. (See NOTE under the General Application Requirements Section above regarding the verification of education/training).
- EQUIVALENCY: Education/training and/or work experience may be substituted on a year for year basis if the application clearly shows the required number of years to meet the Total Qualifying Requirement for this position (based on the sum of work experience and education/training listed above). The Total Qualifying Requirement is five (5) years. (See NOTE under the General Application Requirements Section above regarding the verification of education/training).

- Meets with attorneys, clients, and other professionals to discuss assigned cases or projects.
- Drafts legal documents including routine pleadings and motions, affidavits, and interrogatories; files motions and pleadings according to judicial procedures.
- Researches and analyzes statutes, regulations, legal articles, judicial decisions, and other legal sources; provides written analysis to attorneys.
- Interviews clients and witnesses and prepares summaries of their statements.
- Prepares, organizes, stores, and retrieves case files, which may include evidence, exhibits, depositions, pleadings, exhibits, and other items.
- Assists attorneys with and court or quasi-judicial related preparation, which may include attending trials and hearings.
- Consistently answers phones, takes and gives messages and maintains confidentiality.
- Calls clients; coordinates appointments and phone calls.
- Coordinates client logistics.
- Drafts and sends client correspondence.
- Prepares agendas for client meetings.
- Manages workflow and controls calendar for Associate and Assistant Solicitors.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
