The City of Plano, Illinois, is seeking a dynamic candidate for the role of Waste Water Plant Operator 5.
The Waste Water Plant Operator 5 will be responsible for assisting in maintenance and operations of the City of Plano's stormwater and wastewater collection systems, sanitary sewer lift stations and treatment facilities to maintain safe, clean, efficient and properly functioning systems.
The Waste Water Plant Operator 5 is selected by the City Administrator and hired after the City Council confirms the recommendation at a public meeting. After hiring, the Waste Water Plant Operator 5, will be under the direction of the Superintendent of Wastewater. The position shall be full-time (forty hours / week), being paid an hourly wage of $21.63 to $29.21 plus all legally mandated benefits (such as Social Security and Workers' Compensation Insurance), and benefits defined as sick days, vacation days and holidays.
