Chief Financial Officer (CFO) / Fulltime -
The City of Pleasantville is seeking an experienced financial professional to serve as the City’s Chief Financial Officer under the direction of the City Administrator responsibilities include, but not limited to, accounting and maintenance of the general ledger, annual budget preparation, audit coordination and compliance, bank reconciliations, capital budgeting, cash management, debt management, financial reporting, fixed asset inventory, grant accounting, insurance, internal control systems, issuance of bonds and notes, investment and disbursement of funds, monitoring expenditures and revenues, payroll administration, and state pension and benefits processing.
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business administration or finance. Five years of government accounting and financial management experience in municipal, county or state government.
Must possess a valid certificate as a Certified Municipal Finance Officer issued by the NJDCA.
Must possess strong communication, interpersonal, organizational, and technology-related skills and have experience with Edmunds GovTech Financial Software.
