Provide front desk customer service support for the maintenance facility and office support services for the maintenance divisions. Promote a favorable image for the divisions and the city.
Candidates will be notified of their status the week of April 14, 2025.

Essential Functions
Provide exceptional customer service to internal and external customers.
- Interact with others in a manner that is professional and inspires open communication.
- Help to create and maintain a respectful workplace culture and champion diversity and inclusion.
- Participate in citywide training designed to strengthen competencies in areas such as communications, leadership, decision-making and problem solving.
- Advise public on watermain flushing schedules, water quality policies, and requests.
- Issue and record commercial water meters.
- Schedule appointments for meter repairs.
- Advise public of sweeping, snowplowing, road repairs and weight restrictions.
- Advise public on diseased tree information and tree trimming program and emergency situations.
- Advise public on public trail information, skating rink policies, general park information and weed programs.
- Answer questions concerning the yard waste site and recycling program.
- Schedule underground locators for the Gopher State One Call Program.
- Support maintenance divisions with general office support.
- Process and distribute mail for maintenance divisions.
- Prepare and coordinate mailings.
- Assist with new employee onboarding.
- Schedule appointments.
- Monitor and process registrations for the Community Gardens and annual tree sale.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Working knowledge of generally accepted office procedures and filing practices.
- Experience providing exceptional customer service.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher)
- QWERTY keyboard proficiency
- Good basic mathematical aptitude.
- Demonstrated conduct/performance that supports and advances the City of Plymouth's mission and guiding values, as well as the City Council's strategic themes.
- Ability to establish, maintain and retrieve data from an electronic and Laserfiche filing systems.
- Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions, as well as to communicate effectively orally.
- Ability to make sound decisions and independent judgments on assigned tasks.
- Ability to learn and effectively utilize city specific software including Cartograph, New World Finance, myPlymouth, RecTrac, BS&A, Gopher One and other applicable software systems.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relations with supervisors, coworkers, contractors and the general public.
- Two or more years of office support or clerical experience.
