The Community Services Department has multiple opportunities available, which are classified as at-will, hourly/part-time positions with no benefits provided. Hourly/part-time positions average 20 hours per week and less than 1,000 hours in a twelve (12) month period.
Work Hours
Work hours will be approximately 15-20 hours per week. Work hours will generally be Monday through Friday from 2:00 pm to 7:30 pm. Weekend and evening shifts may be required.

Any combination equivalent to experience and training that would provide the required knowledge, skills, and abilities would be qualifying. A typical way to obtain the knowledge, skills and abilities would be:
- High school graduate or GED equivalency required.
- One (1) year of paid or volunteer experience or a combination of both in a recreational field or sports setting.
- College students in fields of Kinesiology, Physical Education, Sports Medicine, Exercise Science and Nutrition are strongly encouraged to apply.
- Must possess and maintain a valid California Class "C" driver's license.

- Assist in youth recruitment, enrollment, attendance maintenance/monitoring and tracking.
- Assist participants other recreation staff in routine and emergency situations, including administering first aid.
- Accurately document all incidents/accidents and ensure proper communication to all parties as appropriate.
- Communicate in a positive and effective manner with all participants, City officials, parents, community members and co-workers.
- Maintain professional demeanor at all times to ensure the City's image and mission statement are upheld.
- Assist in implementation of Division and Citywide events.
- Other duties as assigned.
