Overview
Incumbent serves as Deputy Clerk for the City of Portage Clerk-Treasurer, responsible for assisting the office employees, and the public
Responsibilities
Assists customers and answers the phone, including, but not limited to, accepting payments for a variety of City services, greeting office visitors, taking messages, and directing callers and visitors to appropriate department or individual.
Assists customers with credit card transactions. Audits and receipts in daily credit card transactions.
Delivers bank deposits to local financial institutions, including loan payments.
Provides customer service to both internal and external customers.
Maintains the City of Portage Asset Management Database. Uploads resolutions and ordinances to the City website, as well as other documents when needed.
Provides back up to Clerk-Treasurer employees as directed.
Attends City Council and Board of Works meetings, transcribing minutes of meetings, and forwarding minutes to appropriate individual for processing. Uploads minutes to website once approved.
Performs duties of other staff in their absence or as needed.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $15.00 - $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 28 per week
