Portland International Jetport is currently seeking a highly effective, experienced Airport Operations Supervisor to help lead the charge of the Airport Operations Department. The successful incumbent will have demonstrated leadership, project management experience, and problem solving skills in addition to exceptional people skills and the ability to work as part of a dedicated team. Must be capable of leading diverse programs and initiatives while conceiving and achieving the many goals that will make the department an industry top performer. This position supervises a group of Airport Operations Duty Officers or Operations Coordinators and is key to ensuring that the Jetport’s core values of Safety, Service, Teamwork, and Trust are indoctrinated into the daily operation.
Qualifications:

Successful candidates will possess strong leadership and communication skills, exceptional knowledge of and experience with training individuals and groups, and clear expertise in the multifaceted nature of operating a Part 139 airport.
- Understanding and developing multiple complex curriculums and diverse training experiences are highly desired.
- The successful candidate will have demonstrated experience proactively developing and implementing auditing practices, including using benchmarking and metrics to determine, track, and demonstrate success.
- Ability and resolve to proactively mentor and assist coworkers and subordinates as needed is a must.

This position is responsible for the hiring, scheduling, and performance management of the Airport Operations Duty Officers or Operations Coordinators.

This position requires the ability and willingness to work a schedule that may include early mornings, late evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- This position also requires the ability for the incumbent to obtain a SIDA badge and pass the necessary background checks in accordance with 49 CFR Part 1542.
- Must communicate effectively written and verbally, and possess and maintain a valid driver's license.

Salary & Benefits:
This is a union position, Pro-Tech - Grade MA-8, Starting annual salary of $66,123.20.
