What you'll get to do:
  • Lead the development and implementation of ADA and language access plans, policies, and standard procedures for the Vibrant Communities service area to support the City’s equity goals and ensure civil rights compliance.
  • Develop and manage a comprehensive data system and procedures used for tracking and responding to public requests for language access and ADA accommodations, includes monitoring progress, and reporting outcomes.
  • Develop and coordinate systems and procedures used for translating and disseminating materials and information about Vibrant Communities’ programs and services, ensuring culturally responsive practices are integrated.  Provide guidance, resources, training, and technical assistance to service area staff to support compliance with Title II and Title VI, in collaboration with relevant offices.
  • Serve as a liaison for citywide steering committees and technical workgroups to improve systems related to planning, budgeting, and coordination of Title II and Title VI implementation.
  • Facilitate communities of practice and training opportunities to support service area staff and community partners in removing language barriers and ensuring equitable access to services.
