Job Type: Casual, Part-time. These are part-time jobs where you can work up to 1,400 hours in a year. Employees in these positions serve at will. These jobs are called Community Service Aide I's by the City of Portland.

Youth Conservation Crew - Youth Crew Member (Ages 14 ) - $18.00 per hour
Work with plants, animals, and trails!
Daily Schedule:-During the summer work Tuesday - Friday, June 24 - August 8, 2025. 8:30am - 2:30pm-During the school year, you can sign up to work on Saturdays and on school holidays
Nature Day Camp - Teen Educator I (Ages 16 ) - $18.00 per hourWork with children ages 5 – 12 in local parks, leading games, activities, and exploring nature.Daily Schedule: -June 17 through August 15, 2025; Monday through Friday; 8:00am to 4:00pm.

The following qualifications are required for this position:
- Applicants ages 14 years old by June 24, 2025 will be considered for Youth Conservation Crew - Youth Crew Member.
- Applicants must be enrolled in high school in the 2024 - 2025 school year to be considered for the Youth Conservation Crew - Youth Crew Member.
- Applicants ages 16 years old by June 17, 2025 will be considered for Nature Day Camp - Teen Educator I.

Hiring Process:
Step 1: Apply online starting on January 6, 2025.
Step 2: We will review your application to see if you meet the minimum needs for this role.
Step 3: If you qualify, you will be placed on a list of eligible candidates.
Step 4: We will contact eligible candidates for interviews as positions become available. Interviews will happen in April.
Step 5: Job offers will be made after interviews, in April and May.
