Assistant Camp Director

Camp Ka-Mee-Lin is looking for a motivated and organized individual to join our team as an Assistant Camp Director for our 11-week summer camp season. The Assistant Camp Director will work closely with the Camp Director and Camp Leads to ensure the smooth operation of daily camp activities. This position is perfect for teachers or those interested in working with children, and it will be a great addition to your resume.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist Camp Leads by ensuring they have the resources and support needed to run their activities successfully.
• Lead and supervise important field trips throughout the summer.
• Lead and organize "All Camp" Fridays, coordinating activities and ensuring a fun and engaging experience for all campers and staff.
• Handle administrative tasks, including managing camp rosters and ensuring all records are up to date and organized.
• Provide general support to the Camp Director and help with any additional tasks as needed.
• Foster a positive and safe environment for both campers and staff.
• Communicate with camp families as needed, ensuring clear and timely information.

• Strong organizational and leadership skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and responsibilities.
• Comfortable working in an outdoor, fast-paced environment.
• Previous experience working with children and/or camp settings is preferred, but not required.
• Ability to work well with others and be a team player.
• Ideal for teachers or individuals looking to gain experience in child-focused roles.

Schedule:

• Full-time (40 hours per week)

• 30-minute lunch break each day
