Responsibilities
The City of Poulsbo’s Police Department is looking for an Administrative Specialist to perform advanced, specialized work and use independent judgment based on technical knowledge while maintaining adherence to local, state, and federal regulations to support the activities of the police department.

Hours: The position is full-time (40 hours per week), Monday – Friday, 8:00 am – 4:30 pm.
Compensation: The starting salary is $28.27 – $29.12 per hour depending on experience. The salary range is $28.27 – $32.78 per hour.
Benefits: Employees receive 8 hours per month of vacation accrual (increases in 3rd year), 8 hours of sick leave accrual per month, and 11 paid holidays. After six months of employment, employees receive one floating holiday and after one year, two personal leave days are provided. Employees also receive an additional 1% longevity pay after five years (longevity increases every five years thereafter with a 6% cap). This position is eligible for retirement benefits with the State of Washington’s PERS system. The City pays 95% of medical and vision premiums and 100% of dental insurance premiums. The employees’ portion is $81.34 per month for full-family health insurance coverage. There is also an excellent retiree medical plan available for qualified employees. Additionally, the City and employees contribute to a Health Reimbursement Account (HRA-VEBA) that can be used for out-of-pocket health expenses. There is a $30,000 life insurance policy paid for by the City.
