JOB
Performs a variety of custodian duties at the Prosser Aquatic Center and will work to prepare the facility for winter closure.Employees in this class may work a variety of hours, be flexible, and have nontraditional work weeks and hours.
EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
Responsible for routine cleaning of fixtures, windows, floors, walls, cabinets, restrooms, and other equipment.Will work with other staff to ensure the facility is clean, orderly, and ready for re-opening in the summer.Performs general clean-up of Prosser Aquatic Center (PAC) or other parks as may be deemed necessaryPerforms janitorial/custodial work.Performs related work as required.Responds to requests for service or emergency help. Reports situation to supervisor and assists in resolution.Contributes to effective City operations by performing other duties as assigned. Works with other departments, citizen groups, and others.
SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION
Working knowledge of utilizing equipment such as lawn mowers, weed whackers, and other types of equipment to maintain City parks, buildings, and other public spaces.Ability to deal efficiently and tactfully with fellow employees and the general public to promote a positive public image.Skill in operation, care and safe use of tools and equipment.Ability to follow both oral and written instructions.Versatility and initiative in dealing constantly with changing assignments.
