Job Description
The City of Pueblo wants to hire you as a Fleet Mechanic! A position that offers incredible benefits, competitive pay, and satisfying hands-on work! As a fleet mechanic, you’ll diagnose, inspect, maintain, and repair automotive vehicles and equipment. The work involves servicing and repairing cars, trucks, construction equipment, police and fire vehicles and other automotive related equipment. This position may require you to work overtime and be on call during storms and emergency situations. As a Fleet Mechanic for the City of Pueblo, you will be putting your skills and knowledge to good use to help support a great local community.

Qualifications
- A high school diploma or GED.
- Applicants must be 21 years of age or older within six months of appointment to meet the requirements of the CDL
- A valid driver’s license at the time of application, and a valid Colorado driver’s license within 30 days of employment
- License restrictions that may hinder your ability to drive on City business, such as an interlock, will be cause for disqualification
- During the course of employment, a valid license must be maintained, and the employee must notify the City immediately upon changes to the status of their license
AND
- Five (5) years of experience in preventative maintenance, repair, fabrication of vehicles or heavy equipment. Current OEM or ASE Certifications can be used to supplement experience. 1-certification is equivalent to 1 year up to 3 years max.
