Neill Public Library is seeking an innovative and collaborative professional to join our Youth Services team as a Youth Services Technician . This role is vital in supporting the library’s mission to provide an open environment where people have free access to a wide variety of stories, ideas, information, and opinions. As a Youth Services Technician, you’ll play a key role in inspiring lifelong learning and fostering a love of reading among youth. In this dynamic position, you’ll design, lead, and promote engaging programs and book displays for youth of all ages, provide exceptional customer service to patrons, and build meaningful connections with young people, their families, and caregivers to strengthen community ties. You’ll also contribute to collection development, ensuring a vibrant and diverse selection of materials for youth, and assist with creating youth-focused social media and promotional content to promote library programs and services, enhancing community engagement.
The ideal candidate will thrive both independently and as part of a team, possess strong communication and interpersonal skills, and demonstrate creativity, enthusiasm, and a passion for public service and youth engagement. This 40-hour-per-week, union-represented position offers a competitive hourly wage and an excellent, pro-rated benefits package.
