Join our team at historic Pullen Park, North Carolina's first amusement park. The Pullen Park campus contains 67 acres of gorgeous park land, offering a variety of activities to keep guests of all ages engaged and entertained. Our offerings include a carousel dating to 1911, an original Wurlitzer 125 band organ, a CP Huntington scaled train, kiddie boats, pedal boats and eight picnic shelters in addition to a variety of events and programs that we host throughout the year.
The Attractions Guest Services Specialist is responsible for assisting park management with the day-to-day operations of facilities and programs at Pullen Park Amusements. Individuals in this position are considered essential staff and deal with the public directly through reservation inquires and ticketing requests, in addition to assisting with attractions operations as needed. This position requires an extensive amount of training, including cashier training, reservationist training, ride training and First Aid/CPR, all of which will be provided. This is a part-time position with a maximum of 999 hours per year, averaging 18 hours per week.

- Provide exceptional guest service through a variety of mediums
- Efficiently respond to phone calls, emails and walk in guests in a timely manner
- Book rentals using RecTrac or equivalent booking software
- Meet with interested guests for showings
- Receive and process payments and other cash handling duties as necessary
- Ensure proper organization of rental paperwork
- Oversee rentals and assist renters
- Sell ride tickets and gift shop items using a Point of Sale system
- Resolve guest concerns, or pass along to management depending on the situation
- Meet regularly with the Customer Service Manager and Front Desk staff members to discuss ways in which to improve the rental program
- Assist facility staff with emergency and medical response, or be the point person in the absence of management
- Enter data and make modifications through MS Office Suite
- Assist in maintaining park cleanliness and sanitization
- Operate amusements as per DOL standards and City policies
- Teach and coach staff members
- Enforce city and park policies
- Complete additional duties as assigned by supervisor
- Other duties as assigned.
- Applicant must be at last 18 years of age
- Applicant must have a High School Diploma or equivalent
- Applicant must have a valid Driver’s License and a “safe” driving record
- Fluency in speaking, reading, and writing English
