About This Position:
The Business System Specialist position offers an exciting opportunity to support our business systems and processes. Working closely with team members, management, and stakeholders, you will provide functional assistance in system analysis, testing, and documentation. While less technical than a Business System Analyst, this role is essential in ensuring smooth day-to-day operations and improving business efficiency within the organization.
This role is ideal for a detail-oriented individual who enjoys problem-solving, analyzing business processes, and ensuring that technology effectively supports operational needs. - Ability to document and track issues systematically
- Support & Analyze: Assist in the support and maintenance of system applications and business processes by reviewing trends, documenting findings, and identifying areas for improvement
- Collaborate & Communicate: Work with staff, management, and stakeholders to gather and document business requirements and process workflows
- Test & Troubleshoot: Participate in quality assurance testing for system updates and enhancements, identifying and reporting any issues
- Document & Maintain: Maintain operational materials, process documentation, and test scripts while ensuring accurate record-keeping
- Track & Report: Utilize tracking tools such as ServiceNow to monitor tasks and document progress
- Ensure Functionality: Review technical and functional documentation to validate system processes align with business requirements
- Assist & Train: Support users by providing guidance and basic training on system functionality and best practices
- Improve & Innovate: Seek opportunities to enhance system efficiency and business workflows
Associate Degree in information technology, business administration, or directly related field and two years of related experience supporting business systems and processes.

An equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above, unless otherwise subject to any other requirements set forth in law or regulation.

Positions in this class typically require: standing, walking, fingering, talking, hearing, seeing and repetitive motions.
Light Work:
Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects. If the use of arm and/or leg controls requires exertion of forces greater than that for Sedentary Work, and the worker sits most of the time, the job is rated for Light work.
