What are the responsibilities and job description for the Recreation Instructor (Part-Time) position at City of Raleigh North Carolina?
Recreation Instructors are responsible for the planning and execution of recreation programming. Recreation programs include educational, artistic, social, and athletic programs. Recreation Instructors are associated with the total organization of Raleigh Parks. This position will be located at Green Road Community Center.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Prepares program proposals and course outlines or lesson plans
- Presents ideas to facility director and assistant directors
- Teaches classes and workshops to adults and children
- Prepares attendance reports and distribute evaluations to patrons
- Supervises check in/check out procedures of programs
- Provides feedback regarding program goals and objectives
Supervisory Responsibilities
This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
Education
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Experience
At least 2 years of relevant teaching experience is required. Applicants may substitute additional relevant education for the required experience.
Computer Skills
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have working knowledge of Database software, Spreadsheet software, and Word Processing software.
Other Qualifications
Must be able to present proof of identified certifications.
