- Marketing and Outreach
- Develop and implement marketing strategies for Raleigh Teen Connect (RTC) and teen programs, including creating promotional materials, newsletters, and communication channels. Represent the programs at community events, job fairs, and open houses while building partnerships to increase visibility.
- Collaborative Partnerships
- Establish and nurture relationships with local agencies, businesses, and schools to create new program opportunities, secure sponsorships, and enhance RTC membership benefits.
- Program Planning and Data Management
- Analyze trends, attendance, and membership data to guide program development. Collaborate with team members to design innovative programs that address teens' evolving needs and interests.
- Event and Trip Coordination
- Plan and oversee large-scale events and trips including overnight excursions, conferences, and lock-ins, ensuring meaningful and engaging experiences for teens.
- Teen Zones and Camps Management
- Support Teen Zone operations by assisting with planning, staff training, and site management. Oversee specialty camps by developing curricula, managing staff, coordinating transportation, and ensuring a safe and enriching experience for all participants.
- Teambuilding Programs
- Revamp and market fee-based team-building activities, collaborating with internal and external partners to create engaging and impactful offerings.
Bachelor's degree in parks and recreation, business or public administration and five years of professional parks and recreation programming, planning and/or facility management experience.

An equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above, unless otherwise subject to any other requirements set forth in law or regulation.
Licensing/Certifications
- Valid North Carolina Class C Driver's License with a satisfactory driving record, or the ability to obtain within 60 days of hire.
- Ability to complete CPR/First Aid/AED training.
Preferred Qualifications
- Valid North Carolina Class B Commercial Driver's License with a satisfactory driving record, or the ability to obtain within 90 days of hire.
- Certified Park and Recreation Professional (CPRP) or Certified Park and Recreation Executive (CPRE) certified.
- Understanding of youth and teen development principles and best practices.
- Knowledge of recreational programming, including event planning and curriculum design.
- Familiarity with marketing and outreach strategies, including social media and community engagement.
- Awareness of local community resources, schools, and organizations to foster partnerships.
- Knowledge of program evaluation and data collection to inform decisions and improve offerings.
Skills In:
- Strong leadership and team management skills to inspire and guide staff and volunteers.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for marketing, community outreach, and collaboration.
- Proficiency in technology tools, including recreation management software, Microsoft Office, and design platforms.
- Ability to plan, coordinate, and execute large-scale programs and events efficiently.
- Problem-solving and critical thinking skills to adapt to challenges and meet diverse teen needs.
Abilities:
