Include with your online application a copy of your school schedule that demonstrates that you are currently enrolled in at least 6 or more qualifying units. The documentation must show your name, school name and courses (with credits) you are enrolled in. Enrollment must be for Spring 2025 semester/quarter.
Applications will be screened by the Human Resources Department for minimum qualifications. Qualifying applicants may be contacted by the Department to interview. Final appointment is contingent upon a check of past employment references, passing a City-paid fingerprint check and depending on position applied for a pre-employment medical exam and a drug and alcohol-screening test.
- Maintain and organize general administrative records and tasks.
- Provide assistance in planning, organizing, and executing events, including some evening and weekends.
- Assists in performing research and supports special projects as assigned.
- Provide necessary customer service, such as answering phones, greeting members of the public, and responding to requests for information.
- Ability to safely drive a city vehicle (valid Driver’s License required).
- Supports supervisor and department staff with a variety of support duties as assigned.

- College coursework and experience related to Community Engagement, Business/Public Administration and related majors.
- Must be currently enrolled in six (6) units or more towards a bachelor's or master's degree from an accredited college or university in a field related to the area of assignment.
- College students with Junior or Senior level coursework experience is highly desired.
- Previous internships for community programs, local government, or other fields related to the area of assignment is desirable.
- Possession of a valid CA Driver's License with a satisfactory driving record as determined by the city.
FLSA - Non-exempt status
Salary : $19 - $23
