We are on the lookout for a dedicated individual to join us as an Aquatics and Ice Maintenance Worker within our Parks and Recreation Department. In this essential role, you'll ensure our recreational facilities, including aquatic centers and ice rinks, are meticulously prepared and maintained, creating welcoming spaces for the community to enjoy and thrive in.

The Aquatics and Ice Maintenance Worker may be assigned to one or more of the following locations, the Roosevelt Swim Center, Roosevelt Ice Arena, and the City's outdoor aquatic facilities.Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Custodial duties include cleaning, scrubbing, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, glass cleaning, power washing, paper product replenishment, and trash removal.
- Landscaping duties include mowing, shrub trimming, string line trimming, weeding, and raking.
- Remove snow from walkways, driveways, and parking areas, and use ice melt if required.
- Set up and tear down for various events.
- May have the opportunity to work with a variety of equipment including an ice resurfacer, skate sharpener, hand tools, floor scrubbers, pool vacuum, and more.
- May be required to test water for chemicals and change hair baskets.
- May assist with minor repairs, building maintenance, and painting.

Additional Information
Minimum Qualifications
- Age: Must be 16 years or older
- Education/Experience: No previous experience is necessary.
- Licenses: Driving positions require employees to be at least 18 years of age. May require a valid driver's license.
- Physical Demands: This position requires employees to walk frequently, lift, bend, and stand for extended periods, and have the ability to climb ladders and stairs.
- Work Environment: Employees might experience conditions of extreme cold, significant noise levels, and high temperatures.
