Position Details
We're hiring laborers to help with mowing, trimming, and general grounds maintenance on storm water easements, drainage areas, and city-owned green spaces. If you enjoy physical, outdoor work and being part of a mission that protects both people and the environment, this could be the perfect fit!
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Requires ability to operate hand tools and other power equipment.- Conduct general grounds maintenance, including trimming, mowing, and custodial work at stormwater facilities.
- Operate power equipment to trim grass, shrubbery, trees, and edge sidewalks.
- Operate mowing equipment, both walk-behind and riding mowers.
- Support snow removal operations when necessary.
- Move materials, equipment, and supplies.
- Perform minor maintenance on equipment and tools.
Additional Information
Minimum Qualifications:
Age Requirement: Must be 18 or older.- Education/Experience: Basic knowldege or skills in maintenance and equipment operation.
- License: Must possess a valid driver's license.
- Physical Demands: Ability to lift 100 pounds, work outdoors in all weather conditions, and perform hands-on tasks like climbing, kneeling, and using tools.
- Work Environment: Active outdoor work across a variety of environments—be ready to get your hands dirty and face the elements.
