Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Plant Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the operation of plant equipment and systems, ensuring efficient production processes while maintaining safety and quality standards. This role requires a strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to work with various control systems. Operators are required to maintain a level 3 license in Water Treatment, Production and Distribution. If an applicant does not have these licenses they will have a certain timeframe to get these licenses once hired.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and troubleshoot water treatment systems to ensure compliance with environmental regulations.
- Conduct routine inspections and perform basic repairs on equipment as needed.
- Collect and analyze data to monitor system performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Utilize distributed control systems and logic controllers to manage plant operations effectively.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth workflow and adherence to safety protocols.
- Perform basic math calculations related to operational processes, including measurements and adjustments.
Qualifications
- Must have a Highschool Diploma or GED
- Licenses in Water Production, Treatment and Distribution is preferred.
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in equipment repair and maintenance.
- Familiarity with water treatment processes is highly desirable.
- Experience with data collection methods and analysis for operational efficiency.
- Knowledge of distributed control systems and logic controllers is an asset.
- Strong problem-solving skills combined with attention to detail in all tasks performed.
