POSITION SUMMARY:
Under the direct supervision of the City Auditor, the Part-Time Auditing Assistant will provide comprehensive support to the City's Audit Department.
Typical duties include but may not be limited to:
- Conduct thorough review of accounts payable payment requests to ensure compliance and accuracy.
- Generate comprehensive financial reports utilizing the City's financial management software, including revenue, expenditure, and budget analyses.
- Facilitate documentation collection and preparation for external audit processes.
- Collaborate on miscellaneous audit-related projects as assigned.
- Perform detailed General Ledger reports.
- Perform additional administrative duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Educational/Experience Requirements
- Associate Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or Finance (current enrollment acceptable)
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with emphasis on Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Demonstrated capacity for independent work and effective multitasking
