What are the responsibilities and job description for the Environmental Services Intern position at City of Red Wing?

Environmental Services Intern:
- Under the direction of the Environmental Services Superintendent, interns will assist or conduct the following:
- Inspections of storm water infrastructure
- Compliance inspections for the fats, oil, and grease program
- Environmental laboratory sampling and analysis
- Various tasks for compliance with storm water, wastewater and drinking water regulations
The ideal candidate will be pursuing a degree in environmental science, water science, or similar. Candidate should have an interest in water quality, laboratory analysis, and watershed management.
Valid driver's license is required. Intern must be able to pass a pre-employment background screen. Desired: student enrolled in a college or university.

- Operate a variety of office equipment, including computer terminal, printer, calculator, fax, and copier.
