Recreation Leader - $16.00 - $18.52/hour
- Game Official (Recreation Leader) - Flag Football and Basketball
- Ball Field Maintenance (Recreation Leader)
- Coaching and Assisting with League Play (Recreation Leader) - Flag Football, Basketball, etc.
- Must possess thorough knowledge of game rules, ability to learn and demonstrate proper mechanics, positioning and game management, and remain mobile and mentally focused for game duration.
- Must possess good listening skills and communicate effectively.
- Must possess ability to prepare field for sports, such as baseball, softball, soccer, flag football, lacrosse, etc., using appropriate tools and equipment to maintain and groom ball fields.
- Must possess good listening skills and communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
- Must possess ability to work with children ages 5-13 in various sports.
- Must possess knowledge of game rules and ability to demonstrate game mechanics.
- Must be able to teach positioning and game management.
- Must be organized, possess good listening skills and communicate effectively.
- Typical education would include high school diploma or equivalent, or current enrollment as a student, and some experience or knowledge in the assigned activity.
- Typical experience would include some experience as a participant, coach, official, or advisor in the assigned activity.
- Possession of the appropriate California driver's license is highly desirable, but not required.
- Must possess or be willing to acquire valid Basic First Aid Certification and CPR/AED Adult with CPR Child/Infant Certification.

Examination Process: An oral board interview will be administered. If selected for interview, you will be contacted by the Recreation Department.

Selection Process: Final appointment is contingent upon:
- Positive past employment references (if applicable)
- Passing a city paid fingerprinting criminal conviction check (applicants 18 years and older)
- Passing a TB test and drug and alcohol screening test
