Description
Under direction, develops, implements, promotes, analyzes, and coordinates activities related to the City's Climate Action Plan; coordinates with other City Departments, utility companies, and other outside agencies.
Examples of Duties
Examples of duties may include, but are not limited to, the following :
- Coordinates and evaluates implementation of the City's Climate Action Plan and other related programs;
- Leads development of new policy and equity initiatives;
- Develops and implements public education for environmental program and projects, including messaging and materials;
- Monitors and updates annual work plans;
- Tracks and analyzes laws, rules, regulations trends, innovations and legislation related to sustainability and makes recommendations for City involvement;
- Identifies, prepares, submits, and executes grants, public / private partnerships, and other resources to assist with meeting the City's sustainability goals;
- Researches, compiles, and analyzes data and information from a various sources on a variety of sustainability issues, programs, and services; makes recommendations related to program feasibility and appropriate courses of action;
- Prepares and presents information to special interest groups and committees;
- Initiates and conducts analysis and prepares and presents reports;
- Develops relationships and collaborates with outside agencies and organizations within the community;
- May represent the City on various commissions, committees, or other working groups; attends various meetings and other public events;
- Review and respond to inquiries from the public; and
- Performs other related duties as assigned.

Do you possess or have the ability to obtain an appropriate, valid California driver license at the time of appointment?
