The City of Redmond Parks and Recreation Department is seeking a welcoming, positive, and responsive professional to join the Customer Experience team. The Customer Experience Representative is a forward-facing role with high customer interaction, responsible for supporting a consistent guest experience throughout all the Parks and Recreation center locations.
Hours: Variable. The position is limited to a maximum of 29 hours per week on average and no more than 1,040 hours per year.

Selection Process
Offers of employment are conditional based on the candidate successfully passing both background and reference checks. Internal candidates are subject to passing a new background if the previous check was conducted more than six months ago.
Additionally, new hires relocating to the area are required to have Washington State residency within 30 days of their start date to comply payroll tax purposes. This is a non-benefitted position

The Customer Experience Representative is a forward-facing role with high customer interaction, responsible for supporting a consistent guest experience throughout all the Parks and Recreation center locations.

- Specific roles may vary
- Shifts available Monday-Saturday, 8am-9pm
- Some shifts may have late rental hours to midnight
- Sundays may be required when rentals occur
- Answers incoming calls, greets customers
- Processes registrations for classes, trips, special events
- Manages cash drawer and point of service transactions, runs daily cash reports, balances drawer; processes refunds, transfers, credits as needed
- Reviews policies/procedures with facility rental groups
- Opens/closes facility per procedures; ensures renters exit on time and have completed clean-up per rental contracts
- Assists with keeping facility common areas neat and organized; ensures rooms are set up according to daily standards
- Provides support for site activities, events and/or rentals: helps to set up tables, chairs, AV equipment, and assists with take-down
The following represent the physical demands that must be met to successfully perform the essential functions of this job:
- Work is performed in a typical office environment and involves moving throughout the facility and community
- Frequent communication with program participants, the public, rental customers, City employees
- Night meetings required
- Move items weighing up to 20 pounds on occasion
- Noise level is moderately quiet
- High school diploma or GED
- One year in customer service, sales, reception, retail, or related experience
- Successful passing of a required background check.
- CPR/AED
- Blood Pathogens Certification
- Food Handlers Permit
