Primary PurposeMonitors the Republic Community Center during early morning hours and serves as the main greeter to the facility. Assists with overseeing records for the 100 Mile Walking Club. Serves as the back up to opening and closing the Senior Center for Sunday morning church rentals as well as any private rentals.SupervisionUnder the direct supervision of the Operations Coordinator, and the general supervision of the Recreation Superintendent (Operations, Programming, & Events).
EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
Prepares the Republic Community Center to open at 6:00 a.m. Monday through Friday. (Turn on lights, fans, music, television, unlock all necessary doors, move directional track arrow, etc.)Responsible for opening and closing the Republic Senior Center for all private rentals in the absence of the Senior Center Facility Monitor. Answers incoming calls to the Parks & Recreation Department. Provides information about current and upcoming programs, special events, facility usage/rentals, etc. Greets all incoming guests and provides information as requested.Monitors all activity in the Community Center and Activities Building by walking through facilities regularly and enforcing facility rules.Cleans, as needed, areas of the Community Center that are in need of attention. Reports all major maintenance problems immediately to the Maintenance Superintendent (Facilities & Aquatics).Assists with overseeing of the 100 Mile Walking Club. Keeps detailed and accurate records of program participants. Assists with communicating program rewards and achievements and the end-of-year recognition breakfast.Assists in the preparation of the facility for private rentals including community room set-up. Assists citizens with gymnasium requests such as putting up/taking down volleyball equipment and raising and lowering goals. Performs other duties as assigned. Important DutiesMaintains appropriate supplies for assigned area.Maintains neat and orderly work area.
