MAINTENANCE EQUIPMENT OPERATOR
WATER DEPARTMENT
Civil Service - Classified
Required Qualifications:
· A high school diploma or GED.
· Minimum two (2) years’ experience or training in the constructions, maintenance, repair, and/or inspection of water/wastewater lines.
· A valid driver’s license w/good record
· Valid Ohio Class A CDL with air brakes and tanker endorsement or be able to obtain one within 1 year of employment.
· Possession of Class 1 Water Distribution Certification at the time of application or ability to obtain one within 18 months of employment and/or Class 1 Collection Certification.
Preferred Qualifications:
· Experience with heavy duty equipment
· Class A CDL at time of application.
Ability To:
- Lift, push, pull 20 to 50 pounds
- Work in the vicinity of floor or wall openings, elevated platforms and/or runways
- Ascend/descend ladders, stairs or scaffolds
