Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Fleet Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical background and be proficient in various aspects of vehicle maintenance and repair. As a Fleet Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and reliability of our fleet, performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting issues, and executing repairs on a variety of vehicles.
Duties
- Performs difficult skilled work maintaining and repairing a variety of automotive, light and heavy trucks and construction equipment.
- Performs scheduled/unscheduled maintenance service
- Performs mig welding, oxygen/acetylene torching, plasma cutting and soldering.
- Document all repairs and maintenance performed on vehicles accurately
Minimum Qualifications:
1. High school diploma, trade or vocational school, GED or equivalent.
2. Minimum of three (3) to five (5) years of previous experience in automotive mechanics which includes experience in trouble shooting and diagnosing operational problems.
3. Possess a valid Ohio class A commercial driver’s license, with air brakes and tanker endorsement or be able to obtain one within 12 months of employment. (Ohio Class A CDL can be obtained by internal training)
4. Preferred ASE certified in brakes, steering and suspension and a minimum of two other areas or the ability to obtain this within one year of employment.
5. Pass a background investigation including drug screen and physical.
