Job Summary
The Lifeguard is responsible for protecting life, preventing accidents, enforcing safety regulations, and assisting in the operation and supervision of public swimming pools. They supervise swimming activities to ensure policies, rules, and regulations are observed and enforced.
Key Responsibilities
- Direct the activities and work of others.
- Meet and deal tactfully with the public.
- Demonstrate swimming proficiency and be in top physical condition at all times.
Requirements
- Minimum age: 17 years old.
- Two (2) years experience in lifesaving, swim instruction or advanced swimming.
- Current Senior Lifesaving and Water Safety Instructor Certificates.
- Community or Standard First Aid and community CPR certification within six weeks of employment.
Selection Process
A drug screening and fingerprint check will be conducted as part of the selection process.
