General Summary
GENERAL SUMMARY:
Under the direction of the Wastewater Maintenance Supervisor or designee, performs semi-skilled work in the construction, maintenance and repair of the City's wastewater and stormwater systems, to include assisting in the operation of backhoes, dump trucks, jet/vac trucks and TV trucks. Subject to after hours and weekend work as needed.

Minimum Qualifications
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- High school diploma or GED.
- One (1) year of experience in wastewater or stormwater, and/or underground utility construction, maintenance, and/or repair.
- Valid driver's license including a Class "A" CDL with tanker endorsement upon hire date.
Desirable Qualifications
- Two (2) years of experience in wastewater and/or stormwater maintenance and repair.
- One (1) year of experience in underground utility construction, maintenance, and/or repair.
- Prior experience in building and grounds construction
- Basic knowledge of digging and/or trenching safety requirements and procedures.
- Valid Washington State Flagger Certification
Supplemental Information
Final selection will be based on overall qualifications, interview process, background/reference check, and pre-employment physical commensurate to the position, to include DOT drug & alcohol screening.
