THE TRANSPORTATION & DEVELOPMENT MANAGER
Reporting to the Public Works Director, the Transportation & Development Manager plays an integral role in the City and Public Works Department in terms of development and ensuring consistency with long-range plans, policies, and regulations. Beyond Public Works, the position works closely with public safety, risk management, and development services on specific projects and initiatives. Direct reports include the Streets Maintenance Supervisor, Traffic Engineer, Civil Engineer I (permitting), Engineering Technician IV (permitting), and City Surveyor, and two Engineering Technicians II.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
- Washington State Professional Engineer’s License upon hire and maintain throughout employment. Out of State applicants must have the ability to obtain within six (6) months of hire date.
- Valid driver’s license.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree with coursework in civil engineering or related field, and six (6) or more years of experience in engineering design, including two (2) years in a supervisory role, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
