General Definition of Work
Performs intermediate and specified tasks in the management of pool operations and City splash pads, including scheduling, concessions, and events. Supervises staff, staffing facilities, and enforces safety compliance. Work is performed under general supervision of the Assistant Parks Superintendent, with continuous supervision of assigned seasonal staff.

Essential Functions
Manage daily pool operations, including admission, food, and swim activities.
Supervise and schedule staff, ensuring proper training.
Manage inventory and ensure that all supplies are stocked.
Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly reports on operations, inventory, equipment, and safety.
Ensure safe pool operations, per safety regulations.
Respond to emergency situations and accidents.
Attend various workshops/seminars as necessary.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Thorough knowledge of water safety regulations, pool operations, water maintenance, sales, and concessions; Proficiency in computers and POS systems; customer service skills, with the ability to assist and interact with the general public in a courteous and professional manner; Ability to identify and address safety concerns or potential risks; Ability to generate reports, maintain accurate records, and track inventory; and ability to work effectively with staff, vendors, and the public, including handling difficult interactions with some.
Education and Experience
High School diploma or GED required.
Physical Requirements
This works requires the occasional exertion of up to 50 pounds of force work regularly requires standing, walking, speaking or hearing and using hands to finger, handle or feel, frequently requires reaching with hands and arms and repetitive motions and occasionally requires sitting and stooping, kneeling, crouching or crawling; work has standard vision requirements; vocal communication is required for expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word and conveying detailed or important instructions to others accurately, loudly or quickly; hearing is required to perceive information at normal spoken word levels; work requires preparing and analyzing written or computer data, visual inspection involving small defects and/or small parts and observing general surroundings and activities; Duties include monitoring surroundings. The work environment includes regular exposure to outdoor weather, frequent extreme heat (non-weather), and occasional risks such as moving parts, heights, airborne particles, electrical shock, and bloodborne pathogens. Personal protective equipment may be required. Work is generally in a moderately noisy location (e.g. business office, light traffic).
Special Requirements
Valid driver’s license in the State of Indiana.
CPR, first aid, and Life Saving Certification, or Water Safety Instructor, preferred, prior to employment.
Certified Pool Operator’s Certificate, preferred or ability to obtain.
