Description
The City of Richmond Office of the City Assessor is seeking highly qualified candidates to fill the position of Real Estate Appraiser Associate. The selected candidates will be responsible for collecting and verifying data associated with residential properties for the purpose of generating fair and equitable tax assessments. Hybrid work schedules to include remote work may be available upon review and approval after hire.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities or some combination of the following :
Computer programs such as Microsoft Office Suite. Use of basic appraisal instruments, equipment, and tools including camera and tape measure. Operating a City vehicle and knowledge of road rules in Virginia. Knowledge of CAMA Software (Computer Assisted Mass Appraisal), Proval software, Real estate / appraisal knowledge. Skill in utilizing software and various sources of information to make solid appraisal determinations. Skill in written and oral communication. Ability to pay attention to detail. Ability to multi-task.
