What are the responsibilities and job description for the Emergency Management Planner position at City of Richmond?
- Manage the Continuity of Government (COG) plan
- Write, coordinate, manage, implement, and revise Continuity of Operations (COOP) plans to include emergency plans to produce an accurate living document
- Coordinate the development of all COOP plans to include training (i.e. table top, drills, and functional exercises)
- Ensure that plans developed are consistent with appropriate federal, state, and local governments’ legal regulatory requirements
- Manage citywide critical information system (WebEOC) to include training, develop and maintain operational procedures/job aids
MINIMUM TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor's degree in business, emergency management or public administration, or field related to assignment
- Four years of journey-level professional experience in area related to assignment, such as program/project management or management/policy/financial analysis
- An equivalent combination of training and experience (as approved by the department) may be used to meet the minimum qualifications of the classification
