The City of Richmond Department of Finance is seeking a highly qualified candidate to join their team as a Management Analyst, Senior. In this role, the incumbent will provide advanced professional analysis, policy support, and program/project administration for critical and complex programs and projects within the Revenue Division. The responsibilities of the position include gathering and compiling data, analyzing intricate issues to support program and project decision-making, and conducting research to develop, write, and edit comprehensive reports and plans. Additionally, the incumbent will be responsible for compiling and analyzing statistical data, conducting operational reviews, and preparing reports that include findings and recommendations. Depending on assignments, the incumbent may also serve as a lead worker, overseeing the work of professional, paraprofessional, and support staff, assigning tasks, and monitoring the completion of work.
Works with Revenue Administration leadership to coordinate, develop, manage, and maintain special programs and projects
Performs necessary administrative duties related to special programs and projects.
Prepares, writes, and updates various reports, forecasts, analyses, invoices, and other documentation
Presents information to leadership as needed.
Supports and works closely with others to ensure accuracy of information
Serves as liaison to external departments and outside vendors.
Monitors and performs various financial transactions and reconciliations.
Responds to internal and external requests and issues as needed.
KNOWLEDGE:
Considerable knowledge of computer programs including Microsoft Office Suite
Ordinances, government regulations, agency rules, and the legislative process
Principles for providing customer service, including meeting quality standard for services and customer satisfaction and strong research practices and procedures.
Demonstrated skills in analyzing and aggregating data for complex issues
Analyzing and interpreting manuals and operating procedures

MINIMUM TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor's degree in business/public administration or field related to assignment
- Two years of journey-level professional experience in the area related to assignment, such as program/project management or management/policy/financial analysis
- An equivalent combination of training and experience (as approved by the department) may be used to meet the minimum qualifications of the classification
