What are the responsibilities and job description for the SUMMER CAMP SEASONAL EMPLOYMENT position at City of Ridgecrest?
We are hiring seven (7) seasonal positions responsible for supervising and guiding children in our Summer Day Camp Program, running from May 27, 2025 – August 4, 2025. Ideal candidates are enthusiastic, reliable team players with a strong work ethic, a genuine interest in working with children, and the flexibility to adapt in a dynamic camp environment.
SUPERVISION RECEIVED AND EXERCISED
EXAMPLES OF DUTIES:
- Directs children during play time indoors and outdoors and on field trips.
- Supervises and directs children during all activities.
- Keeps children safe and happy.
- Works with other Day camp Teachers and Day camp Aides to carry out directions given by the Supervisor.
- Helps with the necessary clean-up of playrooms, eating area, outside area, and other facilities used by the program.
- Supervises a group of up to 12 children during a predetermined class time under the supervision of the Program Supervisor.
- Help perform other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- CPR and First Aid Certification desired.
- One year of experience working with children is desirable.
- Proof of minimum age of 16 years, must be prepared to get work permit from school if in High School.
- Must be available from May 27 – August 04, 2025.
