What are the responsibilities and job description for the Adult Basketball Referee position at City of Rifle?
Job Summary:
The role of this seasonal part time Referee position, is to make sure rules of the game they are officiating are being followed by all players. The referee will explain rules as needed and ensure that all participants understand these rules. Referees make calls regarding when these rules are broken and assess penalties.
Experience and Training:
Minimum Education: No minimum education required.
Job Requirements: Must be at least 16 years old. Must pass a background check with results acceptable to the City of Rifle.
This is a part-time, seasonal position, beginning around March of 2025. The wage for this position is $40 per game for IAABO certified refs with proof of certification. $30 per game for non-certified. This position is open until April 15.
