Hiring Range: $16.00 to $21.00 per hour depending on qualificationsApplication Review will begin March 3, 2025. Must be able to work flexible schedule (Hours will vary between mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends and holidays) Ensure the safety of pool patrons and assist with pool operation.
EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
Perform regular guard duties as assigned. Use voice and whistle commands to enforce pool policies, rules, and regulations. Maintain surveillance of assigned area and avoid distractions. Supervise pool deck and swim areas, being alert to swimmers who may need assistance.Provide rescue and emergency care to incident victims. Know the location of all first aid and safety equipment. Keep accurate records of accident/incident reports, pool attendance, groups, weather, closures, etc. Help with daily maintenance, cleaning, office tasks, and other procedures as assigned.Attend staff meetings and trainings. Communicate openly and regularly with co-workers, head guards, and the Recreation Coordinator. Other duties as apparent or assigned.Additional job duties and tasks for swim instructors: Be patient and enthusiastic while holding productive and engaging swim lessons, using the American Red Cross format. Set up and clean up lesson area.Follow the directions and requests of the head instructor.Instruct and evaluate students participating in swim lessons. Submit completed report cards and attendance information. Be responsible for the safety of the participants in the class.

Lifeguard Requirements: Current lifeguard certification with CPR and first aid.Qualifications Minimum16 years of age.Available to work a flexible schedule which includes days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
