JOB SUMMARY:
Performs general maintenance and preparation duties on the City ball diamonds, City facilities and City parks.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Prepares City ball diamonds for T‑ball, baseball, and softball including dragging, chalking, and dropping bases.
Inspects and maintains City parks and facilities including removal of litter and debris and general upkeep.
Assists other City recreation programs as required.
Performs other related work as required.
MATERIAL AND EQUIPMENT USED:
Tractor Ballfield Maintainer Power Washer Pickup Truck
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
Education and Experience: No minimum requirements.
Licenses and Certifications: Valid Michigan Drivers License.
Must be at least 18 years of age
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
Knowledge of ball diamond dimensions.
Ability to operate tractors and other machinery.
Ability to exert 50 to 100 pounds of force occasionally, or 25 to 50 pounds of force frequently, or 10 to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
Heavy mobility; duties are usually performed by frequent walking and/or standing, kneeling, or squatting relieved by lesser periods of sitting or operating a vehicle.
Frequent exposure of work time to dirt, dust, and extremes of temperature.
